Easley Weekly Update
Everything You Need to Know For the Coming Week
August 4, 2024
A Note From Principal Hauser
We had a great second week of school! Unfortunately, I had to head to Michigan last Tuesday as my mother had unexpected heart surgery. I will be out next week and return to work on August 12 once she is home and settled and my sister arrives. It's comforting to know the school is in excellent hands with Mrs. Boggan at the helm, but I wanted to let you know of my absence in the event I am not as responsive as usual. I am checking my email sporadically, so please reach out to Mrs. Boggan with any immediate needs.

School Improvement Team Election
We had two parents submit their names to serve on the SIT, and we have four seats, therefore we do not need to hold an election. I'm excited to welcome the following Easley parents to the SIT team. Our first meeting will be next Monday, August 12th at 5:30 p.m. in the art room.
Jade Arnold - Parent of a kindergarten student
I’m interested in my daughter’s success at Easley. Serving her needs will make best difference for all students.
DaJoie Baker - Parent of two fourth grade students
I am excited about the opportunity to serve on the School Improvement Team (SIT). I am passionate about enhancing the educational environment, supporting staff and am committed to ensuring that our school provides the best possible experience for all students. As a member of the team, I would be able to contribute to important decisions around school programming, activities and budgeting, which I believe are crucial for the school's success and growth. I also believe a well-rounded team that is able to use its diverse knowledge and experience to consider school development and resources will only make the school more successful. My interest in this role stems from being a parent of two children at Easley, having an academic background in science, technology, engineering, and medicine (STEM) and professional operations experience. I am eager to gain insights into how decisions are made and to actively participate in shaping the strategies that impact our school's development. My “day job” has given my experience in strategic planning, organizational development, personnel management and operations. Using those skills to assist Easley would be a pleasure. I am committed to collaborating with fellow team members to identify areas for improvement and to support initiatives that foster a positive and effective learning environment that allows all children to thrive. I am confident that my dedication and enthusiasm will allow me to make valuable contributions to the SIT and to support our shared goal of advancing our school's mission and programs.
Thank you to both for your willingness to serve on the School Improvement Team!
