Good Afternoon Woodbury Middle School Community,

We hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend. Did anyone check out the incredible light show on Friday evening? The rare historical viewing of the Northern Lights or the Aurora Borealis was breathtaking. We extend thanks to each and every one of you who ensured your students were at school on time for the Smarter Balance Assessments last week. Your support was critical in starting these assessments promptly. We hope to maintain this positive momentum for the rest of the year. We also want to commend our students for their outstanding efforts during the testing. We eagerly await the results, knowing that our students have given their best.

Thank you to those who emailed or sent in kind words to our teachers during Teachers Appreciation Week. Small tokens of appreciation like these let teachers know that you are supportive of their hard work.

Eighth-grade students are reminded that they will take the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) assessment on Tuesday. Please remember to charge Chromebooks and bring wired earbuds for the assessment. This assessment is only given to our eighth-grade students.

As we approach the end of the year, we are excited about the extracurricular activities and off-campus field trips. Each grade level has shared the eligibility requirements for these special events.

We hope all students will meet these requirements and have a memorable time with their grade level at these end-of-the-year events.
