VMS ELKS Roundup
NOVEMBER Monthly
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we step into November, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible progress our students have made during the first quarter! It’s inspiring to see their enthusiasm for learning and the friendships they are building.
Important Dates: Please remember that the end of the quarter is November 1st. This means that some students will be transitioning to new electives for the second quarter. Encourage your child to embrace these changes and explore new interests!
Please be aware that Q1 class fees have been assigned to student accounts and Q2 class fees will be assigned soon. The following fees are due to cover the cost of materials for class activities.
Art (all grades)= $3.00
Design and Modeling (Gr 6) = $10.00
FACS (Gr 6 and Gr 8)= $8.00
Green Architecture (Gr 8) = $10.00
Tech 8 (Gr 8) = $10.00
If you have applied and been approved for Educational Benefits, you can provide a copy of your approval letter to the school office in order to have these fees waived. We can only obtain a copy of this letter through you.
CLICK HERE for more information about Educational Benefits.
Planner Use: We cannot stress enough the importance of using a planner. It not only helps students keep track of assignments and due dates but also serves as a tool for writing passes to leave the classroom. We encourage you to check your child’s planner daily or weekly to stay informed about homework assignments and upcoming tests. This small habit can greatly enhance their organization and time management skills.
Technology Support: For those looking to monitor their child's academic progress, we have resources available (See Below)! You can check grades and access Schoology for all assignments. Each teacher’s main page will feature an agenda for the day and/or week, providing a clear overview of what’s happening in class.
Thank you for your continued support in fostering a positive learning environment for our students. Let’s make this November a great month for growth and learning!
Warm regards,
