Kings Dominion- Field Trip

8th-Grade Warriors and Educators will celebrate the conclusion of the year by taking a class trip to Kings Dominion Theme Park

Departure time 10:00 a.m.

Return time 6:00 p.m.

The cost of the trip for students without Season Passes

$40.00

The DEADLINE to pay for admission to the trip is tomorrow Friday, June 1, 2023. Payments can be made in cash or with a money order.

Students will have the opportunity to purchase lunch at the park

*School lunch will be provided if students select not to purchase lunch.

8th-Grade Dance- Sneaker Ball (Tuesday June 6, 2023)

Warrior Students will celebrate the conclusion of their 8th-grade year with the Sneaker Ball Formal Dance

When: Tuesday, June 6, 2023

Time: 5: 30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Where: Henderson Middle School Cafe

Details:

The attire for the evening should be formal wear with the student's choice of sneakers.
Warrior Parents should take their special photos for the big night prior to students entering the venue. Parents will not be allowed inside the venue.
All attending dance participants must be enrolled Henderson Middle School Students (can not be in the process of serving a discipline suspension)

Warrior students will enjoy a day of fun in the sun with their classmates during 8th Grade field day and class cookout!

Event Information

8th- Grade Moving-On Ceremony

8th-grade Warrior students will participate in their formal moving-on ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of their year!

Doors open for families at 10:45 a.m.

Programs begin at 11:00 a.m.

Ceremony 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Details:

*Guests: Each Warrior 8th-grade student is afforded TWO guest tickets each. The TWO tickets do not include themselves.

*Considerations: The ceremony will be hosted at Trinity Baptist Church. Although the event will be held at the church, the ceremony will be inclusive to all Warrior Community members. If Warrior families have questions, concerns, or the need for special considerations to accommodate their attendance, please do not hesitate to reach out to school administrators.

*Dismissal: Warrior families will have the option of signing their 8th-grade students out for dismissal for the day at the conclusion of the ceremony. Warrior students can also return back to class to finish out the school day.
