Rising 5th Grade Advanced Art Application Process
Advanced Art is a program for visual arts students who demonstrate an extraordinary interest in the development of their skill and creativity. This is an additional art class that meets once a week during the selections bell. In contrast to the general art class, students in Advanced Art are challenged beyond the standard curriculum with exposure to more mediums in a smaller group setting. Advanced Art can be taken in conjunction with a music choice if the childβs individual schedule allows, but will replace Multimedia Explorations.
Students should fill this form out completely, in their own words, to be considered for advanced art placement.
The form will close at midnight on March 21, 2024. Thank you!Fifth Grade Advanced Art 2024-25

βοΈ PTO NEWS βοΈ
Hello Montgomery Families,
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Harden family and our SHS colleagues as they deal with Mr. Mark Hardenβs sudden passing. We will be providing a document soon which outlines the various roles on the PTO and gives guidance on how much time is involved. We would love to have more folks involved!! If you have any questions or are interested in a specific role, please let me know by email mtpto@sycamoreschools.org. I will also be emailing PTO members with a copy of our updated Articles of Association and Standing Rules, which will need to be voted upon. Please keep an eye out!
As a reminder, Kings Hammer has set up an after school program exclusive to Montgomery students! Students will be walked to Swaim Park once a week after school (Tuesday or Thursday depending on grade level) for a one hour practice. All your student needs to bring is gym shoes and be ready to have fun! The program focuses on technical fundamentals as well as age-appropriate social-emotional and cognitive skills. Please use the QR code below and on Facebook for more information and to register. Space is limited!
If you know of any other organizations interested in hosting an after-school program, please contact me at mtpto@sycamoreschools.org.
The PTO is also looking forward to Cultural Heritage Night! We are fortunate to have such a diverse student body at Montgomery and we are looking for families who are willing to share more about their culture. We are asking that any families interested and willing to provide information or food at a booth during Cultural Heritage Night on April 5, 2024 sign up to make this a memorable event! We will be holding an informational Zoom session in February to provide more details about the event and to answer any questions!
Please complete the form below if you are interested in learning more and participating!
