Athletic Department News
In this ever-changing environment, we can never be 100% sure, but here is what is currently going on:
When Clark County enters Phase 3, workouts may begin in groups of 9 plus one coach. We will have safety and cleaning measures in place to make sure that we are doing our part to keep our students safe. This will include taking the temperatures of everyone that comes to campus to be a part of the workouts.
For fall competitions, we know that there are a few sports that can start competitions during Phase 3 (cross country, track and field, swimming, golf, and sideline cheer), and most sports can start competing in Phase 4 (volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, bowling, gymnastics, 7 on 7 football, marching band)

You will see how the RIVER ideals of Respect, Integrity, Value, Excellence and Responsibility are part of who were are, what we do, and how it feels to be a student at Columbia River High School.
- Freshmen Orientation - August 31st (11AM-3PM) and the first day of school Sept. 1st (6:30AM-8AM).
Summer Homework - Incoming 10th grade PB Students
No summer homework is required for incoming 10th grade students.
Given the state of the world, it's a great idea for everyone to take a break, focus on family, fitness, recreation, and creativity.
Students are encouraged to read for pleasure, and to collect artifacts that document the events of the spring, summer, and fall in a personal reflective journal.
We will kick off the year with The Great Gatsby.
Happy summer!
