BCL
Dear Bear Creek Families,
Happy Fri-Yay! This week I was afforded the privilege of hosting 13 Austin ISD principals at Bear Creek for an Administrator Learning Walk. The 13 AISD elementary principals were completed amazed at the beauty of our building and surrounding grounds. After they had an hour and a half to visit classrooms, the stand out comments about our students was the level of confidence and engagement each child had (PK - 5th) in sharing their learning with the principal team. I love that our Cubs could express themselves with confidence. Kudos to students for even asking to see AISD Badges! Our campus really stood out and it was a joy to see. Thank you for all you have done to create the loving environment that is allowing our teachers to move deep into curriculum.
BCL IS ONE WEEK AWAY!!!!
Today is the LAST DAY to purchase a wristband before the event. Skip the line, and snag your wristband here!
If you pre-purchased your wristband, pickup will be held on the BCE campus in the front circle drive. You can walk, bike, or drive up to the front of Bear Creek Elementary during one of the following windows:
Sunday, September 22nd | 4pm-6pm
Thursday, September 26th | 4pm-6pm
Wristbands WILL NOT be sent home with students; an adult must pick up pre-purchased bands. This is to ensure wristbands make it safely into the hands of an adult and are not used or lost prior to the festival.
Wristbands not picked up during one of these windows will be available to pick up at the event. We strongly encourage picking up your wristband prior to the event day to avoid waiting in line!
Let’s make this year's BCL even more unforgettable. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
SAVE THE DATE: December 7, 2024. Bear Creek will host its first ever SCIENCE FAIR. 3rd through 5th grade students will be able to showcase their science projects for our community to see. Our Cubs' science project will be judged and up to 14 projects will be selected to move onto the Austin Regional Science Fair. More information is below.
Sincerely,
Principal
