Message from the Principal
Dear Kennedy High School Families and Community,
I am writing to share the incredible achievements and events that have unfolded at Kennedy High School this week. It has been a truly inspiring and memorable time for our school community.
On Monday, we had the distinct honor of hosting California Supreme Court Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero and California Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond for our Civic Learning Award of Excellence ceremony. Our talented student leaders presented to these esteemed dignitaries, showcasing the exceptional work and dedication that have earned Kennedy High School such a prestigious recognition.
Our athletic prowess was also on full display this week. I want to highlight our incredible Varsity Girls' Volleyball Team. They played an incredible game this past Tuesday with nail-biting volleys! They are currently 8-0 in league play, and 18-4 overall. It is a joy to watch our scholar athletes thriving on the court. If you haven't seen them play, you have three more weeks to check them out before the end of league play.
On Friday and Saturday evening, our talented Choir students captivated audiences with their outstanding performance in the Fall Choir Show, "Puttin' on the Ritz." The costumes, choreography, and vocal range were simply breathtaking.
As we look ahead, this coming week promises to be even more exciting. Homecoming Week is upon us!!! Throughout the week, students and staff will have the opportunity to show their school spirit with fun and creative dress-up themed days. On Monday, September 30th, our student body will come together for a special assembly to celebrate Homecoming.
The highlight of the week will be our Varsity Football team's Homecoming game against Valencia High School on Friday night. The game will take place at Handel Stadium with kickoff at 7:00 PM. We welcome all Kennedy High School alumnus to dust off their Kennedy spirit gear and old letterman jackets and join us for football, cheer performances, and our incredible Fighting Irish Marching Band. The weekend will culminate with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 5th, at 7:00 PM. The theme for this year's dance is "Celestial Serenade," so get ready for a night of cosmic fun.
Thank you for your continued support of Kennedy High School. Together, we are creating a vibrant and enriching learning environment for our students.
Sincerely,
Poppy Hill-Bonales
Proud Principal of Kennedy High School

The district has rolled out with a new volunteer process this school year. You must register through the Raptor system and choose between Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Tier 2 clearance allows volunteers to participate in prolonged student contact such as overnight trips with students, but requires a tuberculosis test and fingerprint. All other general volunteer participation would be Tier 1.
