Central Tiger Tales
A Leader in Me School - March 2021
A Message From Your Principal
Dear Central Families,
Spring is here and we wish all of our Central families a wonderful Spring Break! Again, we thank our parent community for your continued support of our students and staff in this unique school year. It is hard to believe that we are now in the final quarter of the year!
Spring also brings the season of statewide standardized testing. When we all return in April, our intermediate students in grades 3, 4 and 5 will focus on the final preparations for the Indiana ILEARN assessment for Math and English Language Arts. Stay tuned for more information about our schedule for testing next month.
Finally, our Tiger Cubs have almost reached their Wildly Important Goal of becoming Reading Millionaires! Today we announced on Tiger Cub News that our Central students have logged 960,000 minutes toward their goal of reading one million minutes! Now that is impressive!! We have included the link below for you and your family to record your reading minutes during Spring Break. Let’s synergize our efforts to become Reading Millionaires!
Yours in education,
Rebecca Outcalt
Principal

Central Pride Champion - Allie Robison
Nominated by Kim Lahrman, Diana Shirley and Keanna Stamm
Allie is an effortless leader who shows all of the qualities and characteristics of Tiger PRIDE. She was nominated by her classmates in October for "Beginning with the End in Mind." One of her classmates said she always has a plan of action to get the important things done first, (big rocks) before she starts working on the little rocks. She always brings in positive energy and does whatever she needs to do to make everyone around her feel happier and supported. Allie strives to meet her goals every day and helps to keep others accountable for their actions. She is always willing to help and takes pride in her leadership roles. Congratulations Allie!
