Chisholm Update

Welcome Back Chisholm Chargers! I hope your summer has gone well, and we are excited to see you back at school next week. I've added some information below that will assist you next week for Meet the Teacher on Tuesday, as well as, our first several days as this school year gets up and running. Enjoy the cooler temperatures during this last weekend of your summer break!

Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13. This is a come-and-go event starting at 3:00 and open until 6:00. Monday August 12th, around 6:00 PM, you should receive an email from your child's teacher regarding placement. Kindergarteners- teachers will email parents letting you know your child's safekeeper for the first week of school (kindergarten placement will finalize on Wednesday, August 21). If you are able, please bring your child's school supplies to Meet the Teacher.

Here is a link to a map of our building outlining where your child's classroom is located. Be sure to swing by the cafeteria for information from our PTO along with putting funds on your child's lunch account.

Student supplies purchased through Edukits will be delivered to your child's classroom. You will also receive Car Rider hang tags (for those with students in multiple grade levels, they will be handed out by the teacher of oldest sibling).

You will also be asked to fill out information regarding how the student goes home at the end of the day, a lanyard the students to wear the first couple of days, and any other class or grade level information/sign-ups.

Student Technology Protection Plan

If you would like to purchase the Student Technology Protection Plan, STTP, to protect against damage to student computer devices. Clicking on the link below will explain how this process works. You can also pay for this in the office by bringing cash or checks. The elementary price for STPP has been reduced to $10 per device for this school year.

We are the Future

This is our school theme for the upcoming school year. There is a school song written by Mrs. Tate that will accompany this theme and played throughout the year. Mr. Fletcher and Mrs. Tate are putting the final touches on the video, which will be added to a future newsletter.

Bus Transportation Information

If you are looking for bus information, there is a link below that will take you to the website where you can enter your address and find out the information regarding the bus stop, times, and bus numbers.

PTO Information

The Chisholm PTO will be available in the cafeteria to hand out T-Shirts for those that have already purchased one. They will also have some available for purchase until supplies run out. If you missed the order window for school shirts in July, there will be another purchase window starting August 19 - August 25. If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, members of the PTO will be able to answer any questions you might have.

August 15 - First Day of School

August 22 - Back to School Night for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades from 5:00 to 6:15

August 22 - Back to School Night for Pre K, Kinder, 1st and 2nd Grades from 6:45 to 8:00

8:45 - Our school day begins with announcements. Parents need to sign in late-arriving students.

2:55 - Pre-K Dismissal begins

3:25 - School Dismissal begins
