A message from Mrs. Cuevas:
March is here, and the weather is about to change!
Registration is going strong!
We currently have 327 students fully registered for the upcoming school year, which increases our enrollment by almost 10% just in March. We currently have 94% of our returning students completely registered, we have accepted 57 new student applicants, and we are hosting tours almost daily. Space is becoming limited as we protect our small class sizes, so please complete your registration ASAP.
We are also excited to welcome our new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Rhonda Powell this month. She comes to us with over 22 years experience in elementary education; 9 years she served as a building level elementary principal. Rhonda is from Long Beach and attends St. Thomas Catholic Church with her husband and family. She will be in charge of all things teachers and students, such as attendance, discipline, and curriculum. I am always available to you, but she will be your point of contact on a daily basis.
Peace and Blessings,
Haleigh Cuevas
PTO Update
February came and went so quickly, but not without some really big wins!
Our annual fundraising gala, Coastal Charm, turned out to be one of the most successful years to date. The theme of Cinco de Coastal Charm was a huge hit for our 5th Anniversary, and the participation from our HTCS families and the community was an all-time high. Preliminary numbers are showing that the event brought in around $80,000 before expenses…something that could not be even remotely possible without the help of everyone who participated, donated, and gave up their time to volunteer. For that, the Coastal Charm Committee and our school is deeply grateful!
The Fiesta Room Drawdown Winners this year were:
$1,000 for 1st Ticket Drawn - Janna Smith Cruz
Mexico Vacation/$5,000 Cash Option - Hazel Benoit
Also, the 2025-2026 School Year Tuition Giveaway went to the Shawler family!
We look forward to next year’s event, and thank you all again for being a part of this year’s tremendous success!
Looking ahead…
There are quite a few things happening in March, including Lenten Dinners on Fridays that we’ll need help with, the St. Joseph Altar Food Drive, and our Spring PTO Meeting on March 20th.
We want to encourage as many of you to attend this PTO Meeting, as we will be discussing possible additions and upgrades to our School Uniforms for next year.
Spring Portraits will also be returning this year on March 13th! Students are allowed free dress for the day to wear nice Spring attire for their portraits, following the dress code policy in the handbook. The below flyer has a QR code that you can scan to pre-purchase your Digital Download Packages for your convenience:
If you are interested in helping out with anything happening at the school this Spring, please text Julie Holmes at (615)972-6004 for more information. The end of the year is always packed with happenings, and we’d love to have you volunteer!
Additional Uniform Options for 25-26 School Year
Parents,
Below you will find the uniform additions that are in discussion for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. At this time, all of these will be in addition to and not replacing. After a year, the K-2 jumper will become a permanent replacement and K-2 girls will no longer wear plaid shorts/skirts/skorts. If you have any questions regarding this, please join us at our PTO meeting March 20th where we will discuss any concerns. We hope to see you there!

What is Lent?
Here are the teachings of the Catholic Church
Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting, and alms-giving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. It's a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord's Resurrection at Easter. During Lent, we seek the Lord in prayer by reading Sacred Scripture; we serve by giving alms; and we practice self-control through fasting. We are called not only to abstain from luxuries during Lent, but to a true inner conversion of heart as we seek to follow Christ's will more faithfully. We recall the waters of baptism in which we were also baptized into Christ's death, died to sin and evil, and began new life in Christ.
Many know of the tradition of abstaining from meat on Fridays during Lent, but we are also called to practice self-discipline and fast in other ways throughout the season. Contemplate the meaning and origins of the Lenten fasting tradition in this reflection. In addition, the giving of alms is one way to share God's gifts—not only through the distribution of money, but through the sharing of our time and talents. As St. John Chrysostom reminds us: "Not to enable the poor to share in our goods is to steal from them and deprive them of life. The goods we possess are not ours, but theirs." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 2446).
In Lent, the baptized are called to renew their baptismal commitment as others prepare to be baptized through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, a period of learning and discernment for individuals who have declared their desire to become Catholics.

Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School Song
Chorus
Holy Trinity, Father, Spirit, Son
We come together here as one
To pray, to learn, and to grow
In the loving kindness that you know.
Come with us to work and play together
We are all a part of one big family,
In a school filled with joy, spirit, peace
Our love will grow as you can see.
Repeat Chorus
Sharing God’s love as a community
Each day we work to build a unity
Caring and loving others as we go
Just as Jesus taught us years ago.
