A Short Introduction
For those of you that don't know me my name is Jill Kerwin and I'm the certified school nurse here at Cambridge. This is my sixth year here at Cambridge. My previous pediatric nursing experience includes working in the Pediatric ICU, a pediatrician's office as well as a private school in Princeton.
I have multiple roles here at Cambridge. Primarily, I care for students and staff when they are injured or ill. I also teach health lessons throughout the year.
I have two daughters who also attend school here in South Brunswick. Mackenzie is starting 6th Grade at Crossroads South Middle School but attended Cambridge from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. Sydney is almost 9 and is in a self-contained autism class at Brunswick Acres. We also have a dog named Sophia, two cats named Willow and Archer and a fish named Maroon. When I'm not working I love to do yoga, spend time outdoors especially at the beach and listen to live music.
Welcome Back
While summer isn't offically over, for most families the first day of school is the unofficial end of summer. I'm still wishing and dreaming that summer had no end but I'll settle for a couple more weeks of nice weather and another visit or two to the beach. Hope you and your family had a very happy and healthy summer. Ours was mostly happy and sort of healthy. I came down with an awful case of Hand Foot and Mouth Disease and then both girls had Fifth Disease. We enjoyed trips to NYC, the Finger Lakes and Ocean City, NJ and spent most days in water at the beach or pool.
Don't Forget
Please remember to contact me to arrange drop off for any emergency or as needed medications for school. I will be in touch with those families that have not done so shortly. I will also need updated Medication Orders, Asthma, Allergy or Seizure Action Plans as needed.
