The Last Wednesday Message of the 23-24 School Year
A Message from Mr. Burns
Dear Salford Hills Parents and Families,
As the school year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and collaboration throughout this incredible year. Together, we have created a nurturing and enriching environment for our students, and I am truly grateful for the partnership we share.
This year has been filled with numerous achievements, milestones, and memorable moments. From the enthusiastic participation in school events to the dedication shown in supporting your children's learning at home, your involvement has made a significant impact on our school community.
I would like to extend a special thanks to our amazing Home and School Association and volunteers, whose tireless efforts have brought so much joy and enrichment to our students and school as a whole. Your contributions to organizing events, fundraisers, and activities have not only enhanced our students' experiences but have also fostered a strong sense of community.
Lastly, to our incredible students, you have shown resilience, curiosity, and a love for learning that inspires us all. Watching you grow and achieve your goals has been the highlight of the year. You make our school a vibrant and joyful place.
A special congratulations goes to our Salford Hills 5th graders as they prepare to transition to middle school. We are so proud of your accomplishments and growth during your time here at Salford Hills. As you embark on this exciting new chapter, remember to embrace new challenges, stay curious, and always strive for excellence. We believe in you and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
As we look forward to the summer break, I encourage you to enjoy this time with your families, create lasting memories, and continue fostering a love for learning in everyday activities.
Thank you once again for a fantastic year. I am excited about the opportunities and adventures that the next school year will bring, and I look forward to continuing our journey together.
Wishing you all a safe, happy, and restful summer.

Help us Celebrate Our 5th Grade Students' Accomplishments!
We will be having a 5th Grade Moving Up Celebration on June 6th from 12:15-1:15 in the Salford Hills gym. This celebration will take the place of our Drive Through Celebration. 5th grade parents are welcome to attend with a limit of 4 people per family because of space limitations. The intention is for these 4 people to be adults, not other siblings in the building. Since this event is happening over lunch it will be difficult to make up other students lunch times. The celebration will include 5th graders telling about their accomplishments, and some time for pictures at the end. Parents may take their child home at the end of the celebration.

Flexible Instruction Day (FID) Information
Souderton Area School District will occasionally use Flexible Instructional Days (FID) rather than traditional “snow days.” Here is a brief reminder of FID expectations:
- A FID is considered a school day. To be counted as attending school, students must respond to the Schoology discussion post/question posted by their teacher. Students must respond to the post by 10:00AM. If a child is unable to access the Internet, then the parent should call the school office at 610-287-9197 to leave a message on the attendance line indicating that the student was unable to access Schoology to answer the discussion post/question.
- Students must complete schoolwork via Schoology. There will be no live sessions. Children may complete schoolwork at a time that is convenient for their family. Your child’s teacher is available, via e-mail, throughout the school day to answer any questions that you or your child have regarding their schoolwork.
- Students or families experiencing technology problems may contact the Student Help Desk for technology support. A link to the Student Help Desk is available by clicking here. Before submitting a support request, please follow the three steps below:
1. Restart your device (power off and power back on).
2. Check that your device is not in airplane mode.
3. Check that the wireless connection is enabled.
