Patriot's Pointe
Greetings Patriot Families,
We have reached the 13.5 week progress reporting period for the first semester and the grading window closes on Tuesday, November 12th with progress reports going public on Thursday, November 12th. Please utilize this time to have a crucial conversation with your student about their academic progress at this point in the semester. Our 4 core EOC's (American Literature, Algebra Concepts and Connections, Biology, and U.S. History) all have district interim assessments coming up this month. Please support us by reading communications from your students teachers regarding these assessments and practice items that can assist them in demonstrating mastery on the skills and concepts. Additionally, we are approaching the time for which students can begin to think about exam exemptions. Please note that attendance plays a large role in a students ability to exempt final exams. The flyer below provides families and students with everything they need to know to follow our exam exemption procedures.
We will have our Veterans Day Ceremony tomorrow to honor all members of the military. All members of our community are invited to attend our ceremony and we welcome the opportunity to engage with and honor our Veterans!
We are excited to announce that nine students were selected from Sandy Creek to represent Fayette County for Governor's Honors. We are so proud of our scholars and look forward to honoring them in January at the Fayette County recognition ceremony. Congratulations to Ms. Gallman and our Orchestra students who performed in the the Spivey Hall Honors Orchestra over the weekend. The students had an enriching experience while playing music with the best musicians around the state. We will play Adairsville in the first round of the State Playoffs this Friday at home on The Battlefield. Please come out and support our Region Champs as they make a run for the championship in the post season!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a Competitive Advantage!

Digital Scoreboard Fund Raiser for SCHS
We have a rich tradition in athletics here at Sandy Creek with more than 10 State Championships in sports such as football, basketball, track, and volleyball.
Our scoreboard was built in 1991 and we are in need of a new board to match our dynamic and talented athletic teams. The vision at Sandy Creek High School is to provide students a competitive advantage in whatever endeavor they choose after high school. With your assistance we can help the students prepare for those endeavors while branding your business and supporting our community. Please view the information attached about the sponsorship and digital scoreboard.

Free College Essay Help with Notable Narratives!
About Notable Narratives:
NN is a 501 (c)(3) college essay service organization that provides completely free college essay editing services to first generation and/or low income (FGLI) high school seniors applying to college. We do this by pairing college applicants with FGLI college students, as having an advisor that comes from a similar background will allow students to feel more comfortable receiving help
Since our founding in August 2020:
Our 90 FGLI college advisors have assisted over 1,750 students from 102 unique countries and all 50 states.
1 in 4 students who filled out our annual survey were accepted into an Ivy League or Stanford University.
94% of our students were BIPOC, and 50% identified as both first-generation and low-income.
We encourage you to read more about our impact through our Impact Report, website, and Instagram. We are excited to help even more students this year!
Next Steps:
Attached is a Registration Form for you to share with your students. NN’s services are available to those who self-identify as low income and/or first generation; students do not need to identify as both to apply. I will also be sending this resource to the SCHS counselors.

Parent Square
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
