Enjoy Summer
End-of-Year Message from Mr. Cacciotti
Dear Golden Eagles,
As we wrap up the 2023/2024 school year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you. Thank you, Golden Eagles, for your incredible hard work and dedication. Your efforts have improved yourselves and helped Eagle View Elementary thrive as a great school.
This year, we focused on three key areas: academics, attendance, and character traits. Our character traits for the year were Goal-Oriented, Committed, Trustworthy, Integrity, Patience, and Gratitude. Your determination allowed you to tackle many challenging tasks, and I couldn't be more proud of your accomplishments.
As we look ahead, I encourage you to continue embodying our school-wide expectations: Be respectful, work hard, make good choices, and be the best you can be. These principles are the foundation of our school's success and your personal growth.
As you embark on your summer break, remember to:
- Spend time with family and friends. These moments are precious and help build strong relationships.
- Stay active and keep up with your academic skills. A little practice can go a long way in maintaining what you've learned.
- Reflect on how you can become a better student and person. Self-reflection is a powerful tool for personal growth.
- Relax and rest. Recharging is essential to return ready to rock the 2024/2025 school year.
We have many exciting things in store for you next year at Eagle View, and I can't wait to see the fantastic things you will accomplish. Enjoy your summer, stay safe, and keep soaring high, Golden Eagles!
Sincerely,
Mr. Cacciotti

National Honor Society T-Shirt Drive
National Honor Society has done a lot of AMAZING things this school year! One of the best things was the T-Shirt Drive they organized. Smashing their goal of collecting 200, these kids will be sending off 951 new t-shirts to the Pittsburgh-based nonprofit! These shirts will be adapted with zippers in order to accommodate port sites for pediatric cancer patients at hospitals throughout the country.
A special shout-out to Ms. Moyer and Mrs. Bobby for taking the lead on NEHS this school year! The students will hold these memories close to their hearts as they fly into summer. Thank you for your dedication to our Eagle View students!

Toothpick Bridge Building and Breaking π
At the end of every school year, students in 5th grade build toothpick bridges. They work together in groups of 3-4 students to build the sturdiest bridge they can out of toothpicks and glue-it is quite the challenge! Below are some pictures of our winners and the process of the bridge breaking. Thank you to Mrs. Berkebile, Mr. Walter, and Mrs. Fleegle for organizing this fun activity for our students!

AM Greeters ππ
At Eagle View Elementary, the best way to start your day is by being greeted by responsible 5th-grade students. Mrs. Coddington and Mrs. Parry led an excellent crew of greeters who not only smiled, complimented, and gave fist bumps to all students entering the building but also showed us the power of positive behavior in our school community. Remember, "A smile is the universal welcome."
Farewell to Fifth Graders Dance ππππ₯³π€Έπ»ββοΈπβ¨
We sent off our fifth graders the right way with our annual 5th Grade Dance! The Kickball Championship Game was played and WON by Mrs. Berkebile's homeroom, fun snacks were eaten, dancing occurred, a solo from The Lorax was sung, AND fun summer photos were taken. The students had the opportunity to casually hang with everyone in the grade while enjoying their last few days as an Eagle View student. We are truly going to miss this 5th grade class-they were such a sweet, hard-working, and genuine group to teach. We know they'll thrive as they continue on through Somerset School District π§‘π€
Kickball CHAMPS!
Mrs. Berkebile's class defeated Mr. Walter's class for the championship game!
5th Grade Send-Off ππ
Fourth and third grade students lined the hallways to say goodbye to the fifth grade students one final time. Teachers stood outside to wave to the busses as they passed EV for one last time this school year. This group will be missed! πβ
