Sophomores and Juniors- CTC Application Deadline- DECEMBER 11th!
Interested in a CTC Program for next school year? The two part application can be found at this link. Contact your counselor with any questions. The priority deadline is December 11th at 11:59pm.
What happens after I apply to CTC?
Interview announcements will be sent out on January 15th, 2025
Interviews will take place the week of January 20th, 2025
Acceptance/waitlist emails will be sent March 7th, 2025
Enrollment for the 2025-2026 School Year: Even though we are only half way through this year, we are already looking forward and planning for next school year! Enrollment (course selection) for the 2025-2026 school year will take place through the month of January. Counselors and Advisory teachers will assist students in making a plan for next school year. Enrollment conferences will take place February 10th and 11th for you to review your student’s enrollment. Look for more information about this next month!
Attendance Release: Seniors, if you are interested in adding Attendance Release to your second semester schedule 1st or 7th hour, stop by the Counseling Center to pick up an application.
Register for the February 8th ACT: The deadline to register for the February 8th ACT is Friday, January 3rd. The late registration deadline is Monday, January 20th. Late fees will apply if you register after January 3rd. If you need help registering, please contact Ashley Ginger at aginger@fortosage.net
ACT Prep Info: ACT Prep for the February ACT will begin January 8th and run through February 5th on Mondays and Wednesdays (when school is in session) from 2:30-3:30 after school. All students will need to provide their own transportation. Interested students should see Mrs. Ginger for a permission slip.
A+ Information: All freshmen students received A+ Enrollment forms in October. Please turn in signed enrollment forms by December 1st. For more information, refer to the College and Career Resources website under the “A+ Program” tab.
KC Scholars: The new application cycle for current freshmen and juniors will open January 9th at 8:00 am and close February 28th at 5:00 pm. Please refer to the KC Scholars website for more information.
NCAA/NAIA Clearinghouse: Athletes, please make sure you are in contact with your coaches and Mr. Duis regarding your NCAA/NAIA Clearinghouse status. In order to be eligible to play sports in college, you must go through the Clearinghouse. If you have any questions that your coach does not have the answer to, please see Mr. Duis in the Counseling Center!
- FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid): Seniors who are furthering their education next year will want to file a FAFSA. Please note: Students who are planning on using their A+ are required to file. Completing your FAFSA determines your eligibility for federal grants, state grants, student loans, and work study. The application is now open. For more information, refer to the College and Career Resources website under the “Financial Aid” tab

Visit www.thcf.org and click on “Students" for a list of scholarship opportunities available only to students in the Kansas City area.

Earl Collins Foundation Scholarship
Deadline to Apply: January 31, 2025
Kiwanis International is offering this $1500 scholarship to seniors graduating with the class of 2025. Scholarship, need and volunteerism will be the primary factors in the selection process. For a full list of eligibility requirements and to pick up an application, stop by the Counseling Center.
Greater KC Crime Stoppers & Metro Chiefs & Sheriffs Association Scholarship
