CIMA & Correia ASB Spooktacular Fall Festival
Dear CIMA Families,
Our first and most popular performance of the school year is finally upon us! The Spooktacular Fall Festival and Concert is happening this Thursday, Oct 26, starting at 5pm. We hope you will join us for great performances from Guitar, Jazz, Orchestra, and Advanced Band. There will be food from Pizza Port and Hodad's, plus lots of yummy treats at our bake sale. Correia's ASB will be hosting games a-plenty to play in between the performances including a haunted classroom!
We are still in need of volunteers - especially to help with clean up at the end! - and more donated goodies. Please read all of the details below - and you can always visit our Spooktacular Concert Website.
Sincerely,
Mr. Dwyer
Director - Correia Instrumental Music
Volunteers & Donations needed!!!
To make this a "graveyard smash" for our community, we need LOTS of help! Remember, we ask that each music family donate their time & energy to at least ONE event per year. We always hope to see some new faces come out to help - this is a GREAT way to meet your fellow band parents and become part of our Correia Music Community!
As of now, we are particularly in need of:
- Clean Up Volunteers
- Second Shift Burger Grillers (Guitar & Jazz Parents)
- Spooky Desserts
- Soda -- or Sparkling Water is also always popular
All Donated Items may be dropped off in the Music Office located in room 601 on Thursday Morning before 8am OR Thursday afternoon after 1pm. Items may be dropped of in the main office during the school day. Please let the secretary know that the your item is for "Spooktacular."
Schedule of Performances
All students are encouraged to arrive by 5pm (unless they have a 4:30 call time). They may visit concessions, play games, or visit the Haunted Classroom before their call time. Remember, this is not a drop off event -- all students (of any age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Uniform Options
Students have a choice for dress for the Spooktacular:
Option 1: Students may wear a costume.
Halloween masks or full-face paint, inappropriate dress and/or themes, and weapons of any kind MAY NOT be worn. Costumes or costume parts that inhibit a student's ability to play their instrument must be removed before the student's portion of the performance.
Please Note: Costume guidelines apply to guests as well as students!
Option 2: CIMA Polo Shirt or Jazz Camp Shirt
This includes the blue CIMA Polo Shirt or Jazz Camp Shirt (for Jazz only). CIMA Hoodies are also acceptable. Students may dress casual from the waist down. This includes jeans, shorts, etc., and athletic shoes are OK for this performance.
Join us early!
Concessions and Ticket Sales Open at 4:30pm!!!
Festivities and games begin at 5, but we have plenty of hauntings happening before the show. While the kids warm-up and prepare to scare, families are invited to join us early to purchase tickets and visit our concessions to avoid the rush.
And finally, let's remember the purpose of this night...
This event is held primarily to support our students in their music-making, and their performances are the central focus of the evening. Our kids have worked HARD and we want to respect their efforts!
Please respect the roped-off QUIET AREA in front of Rooms 601/603: no talking, no texting, and no distractions during the music. Keep conversations in the concessions and games areas, and please remind your children to do the same. Of course, audience appreciation at the end of the tunes is most welcome!
