Goliad Parent Update

What a crazy time in our world in general, much less to start elementary school. I am here to tell you that it is going to be amazing! We are going to roll with whatever comes our way and we have some plans to make this year unforgettable.

If you are worried about not knowing anything about the school, where to go, what to do, etc. fear no more. This bulletin will have a lot of information and the next 2 weeks much more will be coming your way.

Qué tiempo tan loco en nuestro mundo en general, y mucho menos para comenzar la escuela primaria. ¡Estoy aquí para decirte que va a ser increíble! Vamos a rodar con lo que se nos presente y tenemos algunos planes para que este año sea inolvidable.

Expect a phone call from your child's teacher this Friday. Monday morning we will have a supply drop off where your child can meet your teacher from your car. The location for the supply drop off will be where your child will be dismissed each day from school. For the safety of all students please label your child's school supplies and put them in a bag to keep them all together.

Kinder and 3rd Grade - 8:30 - 9:30

1st and 4th Grade - 9:30 -10:30

2nd and 5th Grade - 10:30 - 11:30

If you have library books or a device from last year this is a good time to drop it off.

Espere una llamada telefónica del maestro de su hijo este viernes. El lunes por la mañana tendremos una entrega de utiles donde su hijo puede encontrarse con su maestro desde su automóvil. El lugar para dejar los suministros será donde su hijo saldrá de la escuela todos los días. Para la seguridad de todos los estudiantes, marque los útiles escolares de su hijo y colóquelos en una bolsa para mantenerlos todos juntos.

We know that all students whether enrolled in-person or in the Virtual Academy will be using the Learning Management System called Schoology. Schoology will be your one-stop place that will contain all the information you will need to stay up to date with your child's progress. If you choose the in-person option you will see all of your child's information from his/her teachers at Goliad. If you choose the Virtual Academy, you will see your child's information from the courses on the platform.

It will be our communication platform between teachers, administrators, students, and parents. If you have multiple children in SAISD you will be able to toggle between their information from one screen on your parent dashboard. It is incredibly user friendly.

Don't get overwhelmed thinking about learning a new system. We will be with you the whole way to help you, and we will be working with your child every day on the system helping them learn it as well.

Sabemos que todos los estudiantes, ya sea que estén inscritos en persona o en la Academia Virtual, utilizarán el Sistema de gestión del aprendizaje llamado Schoology. • Students will login and do all coursework online through Edgenuity.
• Students will have access to SAISD teachers if they need help with technology or their coursework. This teacher will be reaching out to you soon.
• DEVICE PICK-UP will be on 8/17 from 2:00-4:00 at the front of the school.

• Los estudiantes iniciarán sesión y realizarán todos los cursos en línea a través de Edgenuity.
