As the holidays approach, the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) begins their annual fundraising effort aimed at showing our teachers how much we appreciate them. Here is how you can participate. Think about the teachers, administrators, and support staff who impact your children each day. Don’t forget those who teach enrichment classes such as music, art, PE, foreign languages, or our lunch workers, bus drivers, and after school caregivers. Thank you for your support!

Student Mission Fellowship
Calling All Moms, Dads, and Grandparents! Looking for a fun way to get involved? The Lunchroom is in need of 3-4 volunteers each day from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm! Help us make lunchtime a smooth and enjoyable experience for our students – no experience required! All food is catered and prepackaged; your job is simply to hand out meals to the kids at their stations. Sign up to volunteer today!

Exciting News from Friends of Fine Arts – Upcoming Events & Auditions!
We are thrilled to announce an exciting year ahead, filled with fantastic performances and events to showcase the incredible talents of our students! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up, so mark your calendars and join us in supporting the arts.
🎭 Spring Musical – Hello, Dolly! Auditions:
We’re excited to announce this year’s musical will be the beloved classic “Hello, Dolly!” Auditions dates coming soon! We encourage all students interested in participating to join us for what promises to be a memorable and delightful production! The performance will be March 12-15, 2025.
🎶 🎨 What’s Happening in Our Classrooms:
In addition to our upcoming events, our students are hard at work in the classroom, developing their skills and preparing for exciting opportunities! Four of our Intermediate and Middle School choir students, auditioned and were accepted into the North Carolina State Honors Chorus, a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their vocal talents and work toward higher-level performance. Their concerts will be in Winston-Salem, on November 10. Meanwhile, our high school choir students will soon be traveling to the Biltmore House for to perform for their Candlelight Christmas event.
🎶 Upcoming Concerts:
Join us for the Band and Orchestra Concert featuring grades 5-12 on Tuesday, December 10. Just a few days later, on Thursday, December 12, we’ll celebrate the sounds of the season at the Choir Christmas Concert, showcasing the talents of the choir students in grades 6-12.
🎨 Celebration of the Arts:
Save the dates for April 28-May 2 for our Celebration of the Arts! This event will highlight student work across the fine arts, from visual art displays to performance pieces.
🌟 Talent Show:
Don’t miss the wrap up of our Celebration of the Arts week with the much-anticipated school-wide Talent Show on May 2. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy and encourage the diverse talents of our all our SouthLake students!

There are many ways to support the Fine Arts Program at SLCA! One of the best ways to get involved is by joining the Friends of Fine Arts. We welcome volunteers to help bring these events to life, from event planning to hands-on support during performances.
