Grade 5 Authors!
The CDW Grade 5 students met in the Media Center to share their short story/biography books that they have been creating. During the unit, students learned how to use rich narration and dialogue to develop a plot. The students took what they learned from the author and illustrator visits to create a book for others to enjoy. They even visited the 4th graders at TBD this week. The TBD celebration gave 4th graders a chance to ask questions and get an insider's perspective of middle school!

If your child(ren) missed the Grades 5-7 Criterion-Referenced Test today, he/she will be taking the test on Monday, June 10th with Dr. Sullivan. Please reach out to Dr. Sullivan or Ms. Santa with any questions.
CDW Transition Meetings
Each year, CDW offers transition meetings for parents to learn about their child(ren)'s next grade level. Topics that were presented included academics, extracurricular activities, and other highlights for the upcoming grade level. Although we foster an environment of independence at the middle school level, home and school partnership is always a necessity. If you were unable to attend, please review the presentation(s) below and reach out to Ms. Santa with any questions.
