A Message from Principal Anita O'Neill
October 6, 2024
Dear Coyote Community,
Last week, we enjoyed a vibrant and spirited Homecoming celebration! It was wonderful to see our students and staff come together to participate in themed days, decorate the halls, cheer at the pep rally, and support our football team at the big game, all culminating in a fantastic dance. The sense of pride and community spirit across our school was truly inspiring. Thank you to all the families who supported our events this week!
Looking ahead, we have another exciting opportunity to showcase our community pride at Cluster Night on Thursday. This special event brings together our greater community and feeder schools to celebrate the incredible achievements within the Clarksburg cluster. The theme for the night, "You Belong Here," reflects our shared commitment to fostering a sense of belonging for all students, families, and caregivers. We want every member of our community to feel connected and proud to be part of our schools.
The flyer included provides further details about the evening. We hope you can join us for all or part of this meaningful event!
Let’s carry our resilience forward and make the most of the exciting week ahead!

Staff and Student IDs
A quick update on CHS's implementation of IDs for all staff and students.
- This is an MCPS mandate that we need all staff and students to comply with.
- Most students are arriving with their IDs on or attached to their backpacks. This is great and needs to continue.
- The expectation is that he IDs are visible all day, not just upon arrival. Caregivers . . . please help reinforce this message.
Thank you for your help and support.
