Bear Branch Family,

Good afternoon. Progress reports have been finalized and can be seen in parent access. If your child is not being successful, please encourage them to attend tutorials. As always, the most up to date grades and assignments can be found by logging in to the parent portal. Click HERE for directions on how to view your student's grades and attendance.

Our lost and found is over flowing with jackets, lunch boxes, sweatshirts, and water bottles. If your child is missing anything, please encourage them to take a look. All items left after May 24th will be donated.

Mrs. Medina’s Theatre Design students competed in a contest designing and theming the 8th grade dance. The finalists presented their designs in front of a panel of administrators who then selected the winner. The theme of the 8th grade dance will be MAGNOLIA MASQUERADE designed by April Hernandez. Congratulations April!!

The Bear Branch Tennis team traveled to Montgomery Junior High for our 4th match of the season. All matches were tough matches but BBJH ended up winning 9-5. Congratulations to all the Tennis players for a job well done. Next match is next Tuesday against Magnolia Junior High at Magnolia West High School. Come out and cheer the team on for our last and final match. If we win we will be DISTRICT CHAMPS so this will be a big game for us.

Yearbooks are still available for pre-order for $45. The deadline for this is May 4th. Yearbooks will arrive in May. Post-sale yearbooks will only be available to buy while supplies last and will be $50. Visit your librarian Ms. Acheson with any questions about purchasing your yearbook

If your child has medication in the clinic, the medication must be picked up by an adult no later that May 24th at 12:00pm. Any medication not picked up by this date will be discarded.

Incoming 7th grade students are required to meet the state's two immunization requirements, Tdap and Meningococcal (MCV4), along with their completed childhood immunizations prior to beginning school in August.

Shot records must be signed by the facility or a doctor. Parent portal records will not be accepted without a signature.

Shot records can be turned in to the front office at BBI or uploaded to this link:

Dropping off or sending in these records early will help parents and students avoid having to wait in line to turn them in on the first day of school on August 8.

The district has begun making automated phone calls for students who are marked absent. If you feel your child has been mistakenly counted absent, please email his/her teacher for that specific period.

Be sure to turn in absence notes when your child is out. Here's how:

• Students can bring parent/doctor note to the front office
• Parents can email notes to bbjhattendance@magnoliaisd.org
