November hot lunch forms are due on Wednesday, October 23. No extensions.
Edsby
Prairie Land School Division is now using Edsby to communicate with you regarding your child’s progress at school. An invitation was sent out on Thursday, October 17. We encourage everyone to sign up. This is where you will find your child’s progress report, and for junior high and senior high students you will be able to see assignment and test marks. There is a free app that you are able to download to quickly monitor your child’s progress, create an excused absence for your child and even stay current on the latest school events. All teachers are in the process of transitioning to Edsby so please be patient with us, as we are all learning this new platform!
Growing Smiles - Cross Country Fundraiser
Orders and payments are due November 5 at 3:00 pm
Delivery is November 22 in the Theatre from 3:15 to 4:30
Dieleman Fundraiser
Last year, an individual class participated in this successful fundraiser, this year we will be expanding to the whole school in hopes of raising money to support various programs at our school! Students may have codes or accounts set up, or you can purchase through the provided link. Orders can be shipped to the school or directly to you. The organization ID is 8218.
The reviews of the wrapping paper and other products have been fantastic, highlighting the high quality of the wrapping paper!
2023-2024 Yearbooks
2023-2024 Yearbooks have arrived at the school. Any yearbooks that have been preordered will be sent home with K-9 students. Grade 10-12 students can pick their yearbook up in the office. Yearbooks are available for purchase at the J. C .Charyk office for $35/book.
Registration Form/ Option Fees
If you have not returned your student's registration form, please get these back to the school as soon as possible. Signed forms (page 3) are a requirement of Alberta Education and offsite consent forms are required for students to leave school grounds. Invoices for junior high options ($100/year) and senior high options ($50 per option class) are due on Friday, November 1. Cheques can be made payable to Prairie Land or you can use our new School Cash Online.
Grade 9 Take your kids to work day - November 6, 2024
Prairie Land grade 9 students will be participating in "Take Our Kids to Work Day" on November 6, 2024. Please return the completed form to your homeroom teacher.
RhPAP High School Event on Friday, November 8
We are excited to be hosting a Rural High School Health Care Event at the Hanna Hospital on November 8th for students who are interested in working in the healthcare field. Space is limited so talk to Mrs. Forsyth to sign up for the event.
Green Certificate Testing
Green Certificate will be testing all programs IN-PERSON on Wednesday, November 13th in Olds.
As well as we will test all programs VIRTUALLY on Thursday, November 21st.

WISEST
WISEST presents the SET Conference (a Science, Engineering and Technology experience) on Saturday, November 23rd, at the University of Alberta, for young women and gender-diverse students in Grades 10 – 12 who are curious about careers in science, engineering, and technology (SET)
