This Week at GMSS

Hello GMSS families,

We have had a very busy week at GMSS. We are down to only 5 days left of the 23/24 school year. BUT we are not finished quite yet!

Next Tuesday evening we have the honor of celebrating your children at the Academic Awards Night at Gahanna Lincoln HS. The 6th grade portion begins at 6pm. We will need to then clear the auditorium, unless you have a 7th or 8th grade student, and begin our 7th & 8th grade celebration at 7:00pm. Students have been directed to dress nicely and be mindful of heels as they climb stairs to the stage!

Friday is our Talent Show/Field Day and Pool Party! Reminder that we will clap our 8th grade students out to the pool around 10:30!

Please do not forget to check lost and found this week!

BOOKBAGS- We know bookbags have been a hot topic! Please begin planning ahead and see the attached letter as we will be moving away from all bags in the 24/25 school year.

District News

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Chromebooks will not be collected from students in grades 6-11 at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Students may keep their Chromebook over the summer. Students will be expected to bring their charged Chromebook with them on the first day of the 2024-25 school year.

By default, Chromebooks will be disabled for the summer. If you would like to have your student’s Chromebook enabled so that it can be used for summer school or other activities, please complete the form in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
