Congratulations!

Happy graduation day to all of our 8th-grade graduates! Graduation will take place tonight May 28 at Libertyville High School. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm.

Our last spirit week for the 23-24 school year is May 24 - June 3.

Lost and Found

All lost and found items for both elementary and jr. high will be outside (weather permitting) in front of the main office through the last day of school. Please stop by and look for anything you may be missing. All items left in the lost and found after June 3 will be donated. If you have any questions, please contact Rob Rendon at rendon@ogschool.org

Band

Today was the last day of Band for this school year. Please return all school-owned instruments by this Wednesday, May 29 for cleaning.

Literacy Resource Recommendation

The K-8 literacy pilot is complete and recommendations for resources were presented to the Board of Education at the May meeting. Resources will be available to view until June 7th. Please reach out to Leslie Weber (weber@ogschool.org) to make an appointment to view the materials and offer input.

Choir

Recently, the 4th and 5th grade choir and the Junior High choir participated separately in the 'Music in the Parks festival'. Both choirs sang so well and placed in the competition. Congratulations to all involved!

STEM

8th-grade students who completed their STEM rotation for Automation and Robotics had their trade show last week. The students were excited to show off their machines to their peers and staff. Awesome job, engineers!

  • Avoid the Fee - EPI Pre-Pack School Supplies Order school supplies through June 2 to avoid a late fee. See the flier HERE for ordering instructions. All of the non-consumable items (i.e. headphones, binder, scissors) are guaranteed for the year and will be replaced if requested by a student/teacher. Please email Jennifer Liu with any questions.
  • Reimbursement Requests due June 15 If you have a PTO reimbursement request, submit it by June 15. The easiest and quickest way to do that is to use the online form. If you have any questions please reach out to the PTO Treasurers.

Elementary SEL

Students enjoyed a Five Senses nature walk. Each sense is connected to something that was learned in SEL this year like resilience, self-control, and wise decision-making. As our fifth graders graduate from elementary and enter middle school, they each receive a Word Art poem that contains the positive words their peers use to describe them.
