Thank you all for returning to LIS fully recharged and for jumping right into track and field training—your energy is truly appreciated!

Just a heads-up that we will be conducting our 4th fire drill of the year on Wednesday. On Friday, our Grade 6 & 7 students will head to LSS to take part in the End Racism event with the BC Lions Football players.

It’s hard to believe, but we are in the last semester for the 24/25 schoolyear. Toward early May, I will be sharing teacher placements for the 2025/26 school year. I’ll also begin connecting with LPS Grade 3 staff as we start planning our class orgs for next year. Once the meeting is complete we will start planning for class placements.

Student Learning Survey – Reminder

This is a friendly reminder to ensure our Grade 4 and Grade 7 students complete the Student Learning Survey. The scheduled dates for survey completion are as follows:

Grade 7: April 16 & 23
Grade 4: April 17 & 24

Let’s aim for 100% participation! I will support any students on Wednesday April 30th who haven’t completed the survey on the scheduled dates. Please ensure to reserve chrome books.

Please note the survey closes on Friday, May 2nd.

I'm excited to share that Open Parachute will be coming to LIS to support our students' growth mindset and social-emotional learning. Please take a few moments out of your busy schedule to review the lesson linked below and familiarize yourself with the content. We’ll have a brief learning session during our May staff meeting to dive a little deeper together.
