The Last Newsletter of 2024
Hello GIS Families!
The countdown to the holidays is on! In just a few weeks, we’ll be wrapping up our winter celebrations and diving into the events of the new year. This week marks our final school days before we return on January 2, 2025, and when we return, our next testing window opens up. Remember, we have universal testing three times a year.
January is packed with events, too: we’ll have an early release day, a break for MLK Day, and, of course, our first 5th/6th grade school dance! I’ve updated the family calendar with all the important details so you won’t miss a thing. Also, mark your calendars for a special CIUUSD Board meeting on January 7, 2025, at 6 PM, where we’ll discuss the restructuring for CIUUSD. I’ll send out the link, just like I did for the regular board meeting.
Now, let’s talk about Spirit Week! It’s starts tomorrow, December 16. You can find all the fun details on the family calendar or right here. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1thvn3h3_niGmQD-SXQLAZrCutSwxW9XK_Bp5e5sv3B4/edit?usp=sharing
And don’t forget about our cookie swap! There’s still time to join in on the sweet fun! It’s happening after school on the 19th, starting at 3:15 PM. Sign up here: Cookie Swap Sign-Up.
As always, my door and inbox are open if you need anything.
Let’s make this last stretch before the holidays a great one!
