Empowering Your Child with Academic Opportunities
Dear Franklin Academy Families,
At Franklin Academy, I am committed to ensuring that you have all the academic information you need to become knowledgeable partners in your child's education. In the upcoming newsletters, I will be sharing detailed information to help you support your child's academic journey, covering key programs and opportunities available at our school. Here’s a quick overview of what you can expect:
Advanced Placement (AP) Classes: College-level courses that provide our students with the opportunity to challenge themselves, earn college credit, and boost their academic transcripts.
Diploma Programme (DP): A rigorous, internationally recognized program that emphasizes critical thinking, research skills, and a global perspective. Students who complete the DP are well-prepared for higher education and beyond.
Dual Enrollment: A program that allows students to take college courses while still in high school, earning both high school and college credits simultaneously. This gives students a head start on their college education.
Early Admission: An opportunity for seniors to spend their last year of high school fully enrolled in college courses, experiencing college life while completing their high school diploma requirements.
In each newsletter, I will include an article dedicated to one of these programs or other academic information, giving you insights into how these opportunities work and how they can benefit your child. I am excited to share this journey with you and ensure that you have all the tools needed to support your child’s success.
Thank you for your partnership as we guide our students toward their academic goals!
Your proud principal, Sergio Delgado

Ms. Sunday, High School Assessment Coordinator and RtI Coordinator
I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to Ms. Sunday, our dedicated Assessments Coordinator for the high school and RtI (Response to Intervention) Coordinator. Ms. Sunday plays a crucial role in ensuring that every student is properly assessed, keeping track of all our major testing—from FAST assessments to AP exams and the PSAT. Her meticulous planning and hard work ensure that each test is administered smoothly, providing valuable insights into our students’ progress and needs.
Her commitment goes beyond just coordinating tests; she ensures that every student gets the support they need, paying careful attention to the details that make a difference in their academic journey.
Thank you, Ms. Sunday, for all that you do to support our scholars and their success!
Franklin Cares!
Please join me in congratulating the 26 Franklin band and drumline students who performed with the BTFG Marching Band at the Walk to End Alzheimer's charity event at the Marlins Park Stadium on Saturday.
Their attendance at rehearsals and the performances awarded each of them with 75 community service hours. Follow the Franklin Band instagram for photos, videos and more about future band events.
Our students showed their commitment to making a difference, walking in solidarity with those affected by this challenging disease. They not only represented Franklin Academy with pride but also contributed to a cause that touches the lives of so many families. This experience was a powerful reminder of the importance of community involvement and the positive impact our students can make outside the classroom.
Thank you to Mr. Sanz and all the students who participated, for stepping up and showing that Franklin Academy cares!
