Seas of September News
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to report that our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade students have had a fantastic start to the school year! The month of August has been filled with excitement and learning as the students have adjusted remarkably well to their new routines.
Adjustment to School Routines
The transition back to school can be challenging, especially for our youngest learners, but we are proud to share that our students have adapted beautifully. Whether it's getting used to the daily schedule, navigating the classroom environment, or participating in group activities, our students are quickly becoming comfortable and confident in their new routines.
Positive Behavior and Learning
Behavioral expectations are a crucial part of school life, and our students are learning and improving every day. They are mastering the art of sharing, taking turns, and listening attentively to their teachers. Additionally, weβve seen some progress in how they conduct themselves in the cafeteria. The students are learning to follow the rules, use their manners, and respect their peers, making meal times a little more pleasant and organized. Please help us and remind your students that there is no sharing of their lunches and that yes it's okay to visit quietly during lunch, but the main purpose of lunch is to fuel our bodies and minds to get through the rest of our school day.
Morning Drop-off and Afternoon Pick-up
We are also pleased to announce that our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures have greatly improved. With your cooperation and adherence to the guidelines, we have made these transitions smoother and more efficient. We truly appreciate your efforts, and together in our parent-school partnership, we are confident that we can continue to make these processes even better.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in your child's education. We look forward to seeing the continued growth and development of our students as we progress through the school year.
If you have any questions, or suggestions as we progress through our school year please do not hesitate to reach out to me and leave me a message. Please call 830-709-5140.
Thank you ,

What is Empathy?
What is Empathy?
Empathy is the ability to be aware of, understand, and be sensitive to another personβs feelings. Instead of focusing on how these feelings impact ourselves, empathy motivates us to focus on others and respond with care and compassion.
Why Focus on Empathy?
- Empathy builds a positive classroom culture. Empathy empowers students to learn to understand each other to build trust and safety in the classroom.
- Empathy strengthens community. Empathy helps students strengthen their relationships with classmates, other students and adults at school, and at home.
- Empathy prepares your students to be leaders in their community. The best leaders understand the people they lead and are able to show they care.
Empathy in Action:
- Take a different perspective. When you take a different perspective, you put aside your own feelings and reactions to see the situation through anotherβs eyes.
- Put aside judgment. Take a pause, and rather than express conclusions about a situation based on what you see, step back and consider other things you may still need to know or understand.
- Communicate that you understand. Instead of giving advice, respond with reflective phrases like, βIt sounds like you...β or βI hear that you...β to express that you understand and care.

πΌ Blooming πΌ
To bloom is to grow.
To begin again.
To recover.
To start fresh.
To explore.
We bloom in private.
We can bloom in several different ways all at the same time.
We might bloom while something else is dying.
Blooming signifies something new.
A new season, a change.
Welcome the bloom
We all need to grow, to bloom into new and improved versions of ourselves.
Each new day is in iteself a new opportunity to bloom
To bloom is to hope.
To bloom is to reconnect.
