Systems are critical to student success at Crossroads Academy, the Footsteps Program, Uvalde CISD Childcare Center, and DAEP. As our campuses move into the final weeks of the fourth quarter, we revisit our systems and processes with students and staff. This cycle of establishing and revisiting systems and processes has helped our teams close each school year and transition into summer school with a focus on maximizing opportunities for student success. Building and monitoring effective systems is a skill that we hope to help develop in our students, as working with effective systems supports critical thinking, problem solving, and overall emotional/mental health and well-being. We have these conversations in one to one goal setting meetings, and in our scheduled restorative sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. We have seen these structures support students' ability to speak the language of student success, which is a critical component in helping to make success more attainable.
