Last Week students reviewed our two formatives taken on Friday of the week prior. Tuesday we reviewed for a unit 1 map skills summative test and took on Wednesday 9/18. All summative grade at a 73 (IB 3) or lower are allowed 10 school days to revise. Please check aspen with your student. Revisions may be done in advisory or before and after school after confirmation that I am available first. We closed out our week with a DC Atlas Scavenger Hunt activity on Thursday, before our team trip Friday.
This Week students will complete their DC Scavenger Hunt Monday with review. Tuesday we will begin thematic maps on our city of DC. Wednesday students will be assigned a community map done at home, due the following Monday 9/30. Student's will close out the week with conclusions about their city both small and large.

Agenda
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend families purchase personal copies of novels for the year so they can read from home if they are absent or if they have to finish a chapter at home. The novel we are beginning with, that they will need to bring to and from school, is Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor. This novel will begin on 9/9.
