📝 Back to School To Do List 📝
The beginning of school can be a very busy time, so we created the following list to help ease the transition. All links are provided to make the process as easy as possible! 😀
📚 To Do List Item #1: Pay All School Fees 📚
Fees for the 24-25 school year are $55. This covers instructional materials for the year, as well as Science Lab fees. All payments must be made through our unique RevTrak site. If you do not have an account, it takes just a moment to register for one. Be sure to add the instructional fees for each of your children to your shopping cart before checking out. This will prevent you from incurring multiple processing fees.
Please select the appropriate grade level fees for each of your children and type their full name in the requested box.
🖍️ To Do List Item #2: Purchase School Supplies 🖍️
Click the button below to access our 24-25 school supply list.
Easy ordering through School Tool Box is still available (ship to home option only).
Click the button below for easy ordering....skip all those back to school lines!
Don't forget to bring your supplies with you to Meet the Teacher.
📣 To Do List Item #3: Register in Membership Toolkit 📣
Membership Toolkit is our hub for volunteering and our family directory. Each year, you must update your information in Membership Toolkit. Please take a moment to login and update your personal information. You will choose what information you would like published in our directory AND make your volunteer choices for the year.
*If you do not register, your family will not be included in our online directory or printed directory.*
🌺 To Do List Item #4: Donate to the FRIENDS of SIES "Give to Grow" Campaign 🌺
FRIENDS has already launched the "Give to Grow" campaign for the new school year. Our yearly school goal is 100% family participation, so donate today to earn your two FRIENDS of SIES stickers!
Important Points:
1) You only need to donate ONCE. Your ONE donation will count for all of your children.
2) How does your child earn class credit for your donation? You must list EACH CHILD (first and last name) in the "Special Instructions" box. This ensures that each child's respective class receives credit towards the 100% class participation goal and party.
So, let's GIVE TO GROW today!
🎉 To Do List Item #5: Join Our PTA 🎉
While FRIENDS of SIES is the large fundraising arm of SIES, our PTA handles all of the social-emotional needs of our faculty, staff, students, and families. In order to host the fun events that we have yearly (Sweetheart Dance, Holiday Outdoor Movie Night, Mother Son Kickball Game, etc.), we need members, like you! Our goal for the 24-25 school year is 100% family membership. There are various levels of membership, so click on the following link to join today. This will require a Membership Toolkit account.
*Becoming a PTA member means SUPPORTING THE SCHOOL. It does not mean that you are obligated to volunteer or run PTA events/committees. However, if you would like to volunteer for these opportunities, please register under the "Volunteer" tab in Membership Toolkit.*
📖 To Do List Item #6: Read Our Family Handbook 📖
Our 24-25 Family Handbook has been updated to reflect important information for this school year. Additionally, monthly school calendars have been added to the back for use and reference throughout the year. Each family will receive one Family Handbook at our Meet the Teacher event. A digital copy of the handbook is included below. Please take some time to read it over, as it addresses various topics related to SIES. This is a useful tool to help you find answers to many commonly asked questions.
🌴 Back to School Beach Bash 🌴
Make plans to join the SIES PTA at their Back to School Beach Bash on Sunday, August 11th from 4-6 pm. Pack some food/drinks, a few towels and toys, and meet your fellow classmates down on the beach behind the school. Full details are below!
🍎 First Day Information 🍎
The first day of school for all Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students will be Tuesday, August 13th. Child Development students will have a staggered entry the following week. Details will be sent to all Child Development students by our CD teacher, Mrs. Cindy Retterer.
On the first day of school, parents are welcome to walk children to classrooms, although it is not required. If your child would prefer to walk in by him/herself, that is totally fine!
Parking will be available in the school parking lot, the gravel lot at the school entrance, and along Middle Street. Please note that parking in the gravel lot is only permitted on the first day. Additionally, be aware that traffic and parking will be difficult on the first day, so please be patient. Although the tardy bell normally rings at 7:25 am, we will have a soft start on the first day, allowing everyone a bit more time. We hope to have everyone settled into classrooms by 7:45/7:50 am. If you find yourself having a hard time that first day (or maybe you are really excited that school is starting!), we invite you to join us for our annual Tears & Cheers event in the library. Come enjoy some coffee/light snacks to celebrate a brand new year and exciting beginnings!
