Hello Santiago Families-
Please make sure and check out the calendar listed below as we have a lot of activities coming up. Lastly, we wanted to remind our families that next Friday, November 1st, is a minimum day (dismissal at 12:35p).
Red Ribbon Week: This week is our Red Ribbon Week. The dress-up themes for students this week are:
- Monday: (Pledge to be Drug Free)- wear a red shirt with uniform bottoms
- Tuesday: (United Against Drugs)- twin day
- Wednesday: (Team Up Against Drugs)- sports jersey with uniform bottoms
- Thursday: (Scare Away Drugs)- Halloween themed shirt or purple, orange, green or black shirt with uniform bottoms
- Friday: (It's RAD to Stay Above the Influence)- RAD shirt and jeans. If students do not have a RAD shirt, they should in their school uniform.
Halloween Spooktacular: Santiago Music will be hosting their annual Halloween Spooktacular concert and carnival Tuesday, October 29th, at 6p, in the Santiago amphitheater. This event is free and open to the community. For more details, check out the flyer below.
Halloween Costumes: On Halloween, Thursday, October 31st, students can wear a purple, orange, black or Halloween-themed shirt with their uniform bottoms.
Inflata-Race: Our Annual Santiago Inflata-Race Fun Run will take place at lunch on the grass field on Thursday, October 31st, for those students who turned in their permission slip and wear an inflatable costume.

Expanded Learning Program (ELP)
Our Expanded Learning Program (ELP) runs Monday-Thursday, starting right after school and goes until 5:30pm. If you have any questions, concerns or want to report an absence from ELP, please reach out to our ELP Coordinator, Laura Ontiveros, at lontiveros@orangeusd.org or 657-562-7103.
Santana Expectations
Everyday, Santanas are expected to follow the guidelines for our campus. For clarification of these expectations and what we will be discussing with students the first week of school, please click here.
Attendance
If your child needs to miss school, please notify us promptly by phone or by sending a note/doctor's note to school with your child. You can call our attendance number 24/7 at 714-628-5681.
