Who will be crowned the Junior, Middle, and Senior Division Entertainer of the Year?

Open auditions were held last month, and now it’s time for the big show! Join us on Thursday, May 29th at 6:30 PM in the Flagler Auditorium for the Spotlight Talent Show. Rehearsals will take place earlier that day. Tickets are on sale at flagleryouthcenter.com/spotlight

This month, the Flagler County Youth Center continued its efforts to promote positive behavior both in and out of the classroom. On Tuesday, April 29th, the Youth Center held another grade check.

Students who earned all A’s on their progress reports were rewarded with pizza, chips, and a drink. Those with A’s and B’s had the opportunity to choose two of these options.

We’re proud of our students and hope they continue working hard to improve their grades—and themselves!

On Thursday, April 24th, the Youth Center hosted a special Texas Roadhouse Giveaway. Students who visited after school were treated to the restaurant’s famous warm rolls paired with cinnamon butter, along with complimentary drinks. A big thank you to Texas Roadhouse for their generous donation and continued support of our youth!

On May 1st, we followed up with another delicious event—a Miller’s Ale House Giveaway! Thanks to Miller’s Ale House, students enjoyed a tasty spread of wings, zingers, and mac and cheese. The food was a hit, and we’re grateful for their contribution to making the afternoon special.

Wow! It's hard to believe the school year is already coming to an end!

We hope everyone finishes the year strong. During the final week of school, the Youth Center will operate on a modified schedule:

Monday, May 26th – Closed for Memorial Day

Tuesday – Open with regular hours

Wednesday & Thursday (Early Release Days) – Closed for preparations for our Talent Show and upcoming Summer Camp

Join us for the Spotlight Talent Show on Thursday, May 29th at 6:30 PM in the Flagler Auditorium!

This year's camp is full! Camp will be June 2nd - July 25th from 8:00am - 5:30pm. Trips include: Daytona Lagoon, Bowling, Skyzone, movies, and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. If you missed the opportunity to register your child this year be sure to be on the look out in March of next year for the 2026 registration form. Currently the G.W. Carver Center is open daily Monday - Friday with special events on Saturday. The Open Gym Hours are Monday - Friday from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. During the summer our Open Gym hours will be 1:00pm-5:00pm

Join us for our Senior Social Hour every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 AM to 1 PM! It's the perfect opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy great company.

Formerly the Carver Center Outreach, the Yolonda Williams Outreach was renamed to honor our beloved team member, Yolonda Williams, who dedicated herself to bringing essential services directly to the community.

⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Our students had a great time making arts and crafts for Easter! We enjoyed a variety of activities to celebrate the spring season—bunnies, flowers, eggs, and more.

The Bunnell Police Department stopped by to present a ball to the winning player from our last pickup game—and they couldn’t resist joining in for a fun game of basketball with the kids! The children had a great time playing with the officers and were truly grateful for the thoughtful gift.
