FAC Weekly Update
May 3, 2024
Good Afternoon, FAC Family
With just 8 days left for our Seniors and 13 for the rest of our students, we are wrapping up the busiest part of our performance calendar with today's in-school Showcases and tomorrow's Senior Dance Concert. We are so proud of ALL of our students for engaging with the challenging material presented to them in our FAC studios. Many students choose the easy path, but not ours. FAC students voluntarily step into a world where they constantly receive feedback and are challenged to grow. We enjoy seeing them build skills and confidence throughout the process.
Here is the latest from the halls of the Fine Arts Center...

This Week's Student Leadership Lesson
Leadership Traits - Humility
“It is unwise to be too sure of one's own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
“These are the few ways we can practice humility:
To speak as little as possible of one's self.
To mind one's own business.
Not to want to manage other people's affairs.
To avoid curiosity.
To accept contradictions and correction cheerfully.
To pass over the mistakes of others.
To accept insults and injuries.
To accept being slighted, forgotten and disliked.
To be kind and gentle even under provocation.
Never to stand on one's dignity.
To choose always the hardest.”
― Mother Teresa
Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less. Humility is thinking more of others. Humble people are so focused on serving others, they don’t think of themselves.
- Rick Warren
If anyone would like to acquire humility, I can, I think, tell him the first step. The first step is to realise that one is proud. And a biggish step, too. At least, nothing whatever can be done before it. If you think you are not conceited, it means you are very conceited indeed.
- C.S. Lewis
This Saturday at Noon!
