Salford Hills Blue Crew Awards
New at Salford Hills this year is the Salford Hills Blue Crew Positive Referral Award! This award is part of our Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Plan (PBIS plan) that aims to create a positive learning environment for all students at Salford Hills. This award is given to students who go above and beyond to show our core values of being Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Learners at Salford Hills. We are proud to have already given out over 100 of these awards to students! Students who receive this award get a Blue Crew Swag Tag to hang on their backpack to show off their hard work, and also a paper certificate to take home. Congratulations to all our Salford Hills students who have already received this award, and we look forward to handing out many more!
Giving Tree Donations Due December 11th
Thank you to all the families who offered to donate holiday gifts to our Salford Hills families in need! If you could please have your gifts wrapped and returned to school by December 11th it would be appreciated! Any questions or concerns should be sent to Mrs. Seaman (aseaman@soudertonsd.org)
Once again, thank you for your generosity!
Progress Reports Coming December 11th
We have a new Elementary Progress Report this year!
The Trimester Progress Report:
- Provides clear information to parents and students about the child's progress in relation to content-specific standards. Unlike traditional letter grades, this report breaks down the subject content into key areas, so parents and students can see strengths and areas for development.
- The numerical performance indicators (4-1) listed below are used to communicate a student’s progress towards learning objectives:
4: Exceeding grade-level expectations
3: Meeting grade-level expectations
2: Approaching grade-level expectations
1: Below grade level-expectations - Emphasizes a student's growth over time, highlighting areas of improvement and ongoing goals. This approach helps to foster a growth mindset by valuing progress and effort, not just final outcomes.
- Ensures consistency in what is being taught and assessed across different classrooms and schools. This consistency helps to set clear expectations for students and provides a uniform way of measuring progress.
- Supports the home and school partnership for the continued growth and development of the whole child.
Progress Reports will be available electronically for elementary students on December 11th at 4:00pm by logging into your Home Access Center Account. This new progress report will also be printed for the 1st trimester and sent home on December 11th.

Volunteer at Salford Hills!
Salford Hills Home & School Association (HSA) Volunteer Registration Form 2024-25
The HSA invites you to volunteer at Salford Hills this year! The HSA helps coordinate volunteers for classroom activities, social events, school events, etc. As a volunteer, you are welcome to serve as much or as little as you wish. For example, you can volunteer to help during a specific event, lead a committee, help out in your child's classroom and more. There are so many ways to serve Salford Hills and we would love to connect you with opportunities that would be a good fit for you and your family. In order to be contacted regarding these opportunities, you must join our volunteer list by filling out the form below (you must fill this out each year). There is no commitment by joining the volunteer list. By signing up, you will simply join our list to be notified of events needing volunteers and other opportunities to get involved. Thank you for helping serve our students, families, teachers, and staff at Salford Hills!
Clearances should be submitted to Mrs. Landis in the main office or at jlandis@soudertonsd.org.
