Annual Jog-a-thon 2024
Jog-a-thon
Thank you so much for your participation in the 2024 Jog-a-thon. Our students had a lot of fun walking, jogging, and running during the Jog-a-thon. Most students were ready to run more laps even after their 20 minutes!
Students were very excited to show us how many laps they run and boated they could run another 5, 8, and even 10 laps! It was very exciting to see teachers and family members who joined us.
We would also like to appreciate Mr. T for providing music to motivate our students!
We will be collecting envelopes this week. You can continue to make online donations on
https://go.rallyup.com/ayesjogathon2024.
Thank you for all of your donations to your classes to support class projects, activities, and field trips.

SART Meeting
School Attendance Review Teams (SARTs) are established at local school sites to identify and intervene on behalf of students who exhibit problems with attendance pursuant to California Compulsory Attendance Laws (EC 48200). The goal is to address the barriers preventing regular school attendance at an early stage before the situation escalates. The parent or guardian is a vital part of the team and is encouraged to participate in the resolution. SART meetings must be held as a precursor to a School Attendance Review Board (SARB) referral.

EVENTS IN EMERYVILLE:
Art Exhibition in Emeryville
Free art exhibition open Oct 5-Oct 27, Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-6pm celebrating Emeryville’s thriving collective creativity, the Annual Art Exhibition at The Public Market showcases the vast and varied talents of new and established artists that live or work in Emeryville.
Selected as one of Califorina’s fourteen state-designated Cultural Districts, Emeryville represents an innovative enclave devoted to art and creative production. The sheer number and array of Emeryville artists illustrates the city’s cultural vibrancy and provides an impressive creative pool that continues to produce new and exciting works. The artwork for the exhibition is selected by a jury of Bay Area art professionals. After a three-year hiatus due to covid protocols, the jurors resumed in-person visits to art studios and work spaces to meet the artists and view their work. The result is an exciting, diverse and carefully curated show featuring 224 works from 154 artists, representing the largest group show in its 38-year history, with an influx of new artists participating for the first time.
