The chill is gone...

Let there be.... heat! Underneath Willow are a series of tunnels that have the pipes for the boilers. Maintenance was able to locate a burst pipe (original to the building) underneath the gym and make the necessary repairs. Thank you for sending your Wildcat with extra layers this past week!

We are also starting our planning for next year. Registration is online and opened this week. It's important you register in a timely manner because that helps us determine sections for the grade levels and allocate resources where needed.

Since educating your Wildcat is a partnership, you also have a voice in the type of learning environment that suits him/her best, in addition to the information your child's teacher provides us. I encourage you to write me a letter regarding how you feel your child learns. Does he/she need a lot of structure? What subjects are preferred? Does he/she have a preferred learning style? Please also include any other Wildcats that would be good classroom companions. Keep in mind that good friends outside of school don't always equate to being good classmates.

We CAN NOT honor requests for specific teachers. Please have your letter to the Willow Office no later than June 1, 2022. You can also email it to me directly.

There are a lot of activities coming before the end of the year. Please pay close attention to the information coming home from your child's teacher.

Book Fair help needed:

The District 153 Scholastic book fair is April 25th-29th and we need volunteers to make the event a success. The book fairs at Willow and Churchill will be held outside this year and the James Hart book fair will be in the cafeteria. The main duty of volunteers will be helping keep the fair stocked and organized and will also help students shop. We will also need to set out the book cases at the beginning of each fair and put them away at the end of each fair. Feel free to sign up for multiple dates/times. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your help!
