Principal's Message
Hi BGHS Families!
We are so thankful for your partnership as settle in to the school year. Students are doing GREAT following our schoolwide expectations and it's fun to feel the positive energy in the hallways. As we continue to promote a culture at BGHS where every student belongs, feels connected and safe, valued and heard, we will be starting clubs and activities next week during Tiger Time (Oct. 3rd). ALL students, regardless of their FLEX/FOCUSED status will be able to attend a club or activity should they choose. The clubs and activities list will be posted in the next Sunday email (staff are reviewing it now in preparation for publishing the list).
In addition, we are so thankful for each of you who "See Something and Say Something". We investigate any tips we receive when our parents, students, or staff feel like something just isn't right. It's the number one way we can ensure our campus is safe- please continue to find an adult, send an email, call the office, or send in a Safe Schools online report (see below).
We also want to be clear that we investigate every report of harassment, intimidation, and bullying. If you or someone you know isn't being treated right, please report. Students, words matter. Be kind to others, remember you can co-exist even when you disagree with someone else. Parents, please help us message this with your kids.
It's my vision to make BGHS the best school there is, where everyone who enters the doors wants to be there, feels a sense of connection to the school, and knows they have a place on our campus. This is a collective effort, where each interaction matters. We have amazing staff and students at Battle Ground High School, and I'm very proud to lead here.
Have an amazing week, Tigers!
Ms.Ichimura
