MT's purpose is to educate and empower students to become responsible citizens.
A Few Words From the Principal
Happy Friday MT Family! With another Chiefs win possibly on the horizon and more potential snow next week, we want to make sure you all know how to receive school cancellation and delay notices.
- Parent/Guardians should automatically receive email notification from Skyward in the event of cancellations/delays.
- You can also sign up for text alerts here.
- Alerts will also pop up on any district website if there is a delay/cancellation and are posted to district social media.
- Or, there's always the old-fashioned way, TV and/or radio!

MTMS Rewards Store Wish List
Thank you for the support we received over the last week. We could still use a little help in the Rewards Store! Priority requests are Cheez-its and Gatorade. Thank you for supporting our students as they work hard through the spring semester!
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held February 12th & 13th. Open walk-in conferences will be held the evening of February 12th from 4:30-7:30pm, and February 13th from 5:00-8:00pm. Scheduled conferences will be 15 minutes long during the day on the 13th between 9:30am and 4:00pm. Conference signups for scheduled times during the day should have been sent by teams to parents this week.
Winter Mental Health for Teens
Winter months can be difficult for teens! The article below has tips on how to help your teen maintain a healthy routine this winter. Feel free to contact your student’s school counselor for additional information and resources.
Good Things at MTMS
Battle Diorama
Mr. Schaffer's 8th grade Explorers Social Studies class is hard at work on the first battle diorama for MTMS! Thanks to a grant from USD 232, students have the opportunity to build a 3D battle model of the Battle of New Orleans during the War of 1812.
Every Friday during WIN, students visit the site to add scenery, position soldiers, and strive for historical accuracy.
Nominate an Outstanding USD 232 Staff Member Today
The USD 232 Making a Difference Award celebrates the exceptional teachers and staff in our district.
The USD 232 Education Foundation, in partnership with Great American Bank, wants to honor and recognize those who are truly “making a difference in the lives of young people” and continually exceed job expectations for the students, families, and other employees in our district.
Help us honor those who excel at it by nominating an outstanding staff member today!
Important Dates:
3/1 – Chipotle Giveback
Winter Parent Teacher Conferences:
This year's winter parent/teacher conferences are just around the corner! The PTA will provide snacks for the staff on Wednesday, February 12, and a soup & salad meal on Thursday, February 13. Thursday's soup & salad meal will be catered by Nick & Jake's (at a greatly discounted rate, so thank you to N&J for supporting MT)! And a special thanks to those who have Venmo'd donations in the past, as the leftover Venmo donations are helping to provide this meal!
We could still use some help with empty crockpots for the soup. Use this signup genius if you have one we can borrow. Thank you for supporting our teachers & staff.
Stay up to date! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram and our website! Email MTMS.pta.wolves@gmail.com with questions or to find out how to get involved.
