Teacher Update 🤗:
I am going to keep my teacher update brief. Below you will see a lot of updates on our curriculum. We are finishing units and starting new ones after the winter break.
Our Winter Wishes Celebration was a success! Students engaged in a multiplication scavenger hunt, winter BINGO, wrote about snowmen and snow woman, and made snow globes. The mug exchange was so much fun and a big favorite of the class. Thank you to all the volunteers and families who sent in supplies.
I hope you and your family are able to relax, reconnect, and have some fun together over the winter break. Happy New Year!
Have a great vacation!

SEL (Social Emotional Learning) 💙
SEL (Social-Emotional Learning):
Each month we have a "trait of the month". We engage in SEL lessons during morning meeting, through class discussions, read alouds, and activities. Our latest read aloud was, Each Kindness.
Read Aloud Description: Each Kindess by Jacgueline Woodson
"Chole and her friends shun the new girl, Maya, who eventually stops coming to school. When Chloe's teacher gives a lesson about how even small acts of kindness can change the world, Chloe realizes how much better it could have been if she'd shown a little kindness towards Maya. With its powerful anti-bullying message, the book will resonate with listeners."
Monthly Traits:
September: Friendship
October: Empathy
November: Gratitude
December: Kindness
