Principal's Message
Dear Borchardt Bears Families,
Welcome to the new school year at Borchardt Elementary!
My name is Brianna Carroll, and I am honored to introduce myself as your new principal. With over 15 years in education, including recent experience as a Coordinator at the San Joaquin County Office of Education, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether we're at home or exploring California. These moments inspire my approach to education and strengthen my commitment to fostering a well-rounded learning experience.
Our first day of school is on July 30, with classes starting promptly at 8:15 AM (Kindergarten and TKstart at 8:00 AM). I encourage you to mark your calendars for our Back-to-School Night on August 1 from 6-7pm (Food trucks available at 5:30), where we can meet in person.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to make this school year successful and memorable for our students.
Warm regards,
Brianna Carroll

Early Checking out of students
Parents: We're sending a gentle reminder that we are not able to accommodate checking out students within 10 minutes of the end of the school day. Please be patient with our teachers and office staff as the children are dismissed.
Cell Phones and Smart Devices
Parents please see our Cell Phone and Phone Use Policy on page 8 of the student handbook.
Therefore, if a student brings a cell phone or wears and Apple watch (or the like) to school, it must be turned “off” and left in his/her backpack for the entire school day.
LUSD Board Policy 5131
