If you would like to order pictures, paper forms have been sent home in backpacks. You can also purchase packages online at www.strawbridge.net using the online code FM430261

Please complete the online Student Registration Verification before the end of the month. If you are unsure if you still need to complete or if you need access to your Parent Portal account, please email stonypointofficestaff@k12albemarle.org.

We are in need of additional reusable water bottles for students who may not be able to bring their own water bottle from home. If you are interested in picking up some extras to donate to our school, please drop them off at the front office. Thank you for considering!

The weather is finally beginning to cool down for fall! Be sure to send your child with a light jacket, as outdoor recess will continue.

Did you know that over 2,000 students each year develop injuries related to backpacks? Wednesday, September 20, was National Backpack Safety Awareness Day. You may have noticed a flier that was sent home with your child earlier this week. The JMU nursing student and I popped into classrooms on Wednesday to teach students how to properly pack and wear their backpacks. If you are interested, click HERE to view a short educational video on backpack safety for parents to view.

We at Stony Point Elementary understand the stress that families feel as they juggle work, home life, and their children’s school needs. Please click HERE to fill out a confidential survey to help us to better support our Dragon families. This form will also be going home with students in their Friday folders. You can indicate areas where you would like assistance, or share how you may be able to help others (volunteering, provide supplies, etc.)

All forms will be handled with discretion and responded to by your School Counselor, Heather Corpora.
