“Cabaret” tells the story of life at the Kit Kat Klub as people from different backgrounds become entwined in sinister ways to parallel the dark days descending on Germany. Audience members will be transported to a nightclub in Berlin in the 1920s as the Master of Ceremonies assures them that, whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the club. Here in this fascinating time and place, the audience joins Cliff Bradshaw, a young, impoverished American writer; Sally Bowles, a pretty English girl; Ernst Ludwig, a shady Berliner; and other memorable characters as they stand on the edge impending trouble.
Parent and audience advisory:
Cabaret is set in Berlin, Germany, prior to World War II during the rise of the Nazi regime. The script includes references to antisemitism via a Nazi image and alludes to a character having an abortion.
CoSA Student Highlights
Congratulations CoSA Visual Art!
The Love at First Bite Exhibit not only served as a way to use experience to generate art, but also helps students network in the community and gain experience selling their artwork!
The CoSA Visual Arts Conservatory is grateful to Night & Day for providing students with some of their favorite dining experiences on-island, but for also opening their walls as an opportunity for the student artists to exhibit their artwork! We also appreciated all the complementary food and refreshments provided on opening night!
A big thank you to local artist, Jody Esquer, for coordinating the collaboration on behalf of @coronadoarthub as well as supporting emerging artists and donating canvases for the project as well as champagne for the event!
