Principal e-Note
Concord Elementary School - Oct 13, 2024 (Week 9)
A Note from the Office
At Concord Elementary, our core values of Integrity, Accountability, Empathy, Inclusion, and Kindness play a key role in shaping our school community. Through programs like Flight School, daily student-led announcements, and weekly class meetings, we encourage students to practice these values in everything they do. We also recognize students by awarding flight tickets and making positive phone calls home to celebrate their efforts.
Now, we’d love to hear from you! We are conducting a brief survey to gather your feedback on how well these core values are being instilled in our students and how we can continue to promote a positive, values-based environment. Your input is crucial in helping us build a school where every student feels supported and empowered to grow.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey through the link below. Thank you for your partnership in making Concord a great place to learn and grow!
Kind Regards,
Brian and Liz
Counselor Corner
Dear Concord Grownups,
Additionally, we’re looking forward to celebrating Unity Week from October 14th to 17th. This special week emphasizes kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, all aimed at preventing bullying. Students will engage in various kindness activities within their block classes and will work together to spread the message of kindness throughout our school community. Please be on watch for our Unity Week Spirit days which will start on October 14th with "Be a Hero! Help Everyone Respect Others".
We can't wait to see everyone in their superhero gear but please refrain from wearing masks.
Additionaly, We have successfully completed our academic lessons, and your child is now equipped with essential skills such as whole body listening, time management, organization, and future planning. Over the next three weeks, we will shift our focus to the Zones of Regulation. We encourage you to ask your child which "Zone" they are in this week and remind them that all feelings are valid!
Thank you for your continued support!
