3rd grade families
Do you have a current third grade student interested in joining the orchestra next year?
In our district, students in 4th grade have the exciting opportunity to learn a new instrument and join the orchestra! Next week (May 13-17), the Maple Middle School Orchestra will be coming to visit third graders to demonstrate the instruments and share all of the great things about joining the orchestra. Then, the students will have the opportunity to try out the violin, viola, cello, or bass later in the week.
A flyer about our program will be sent home with your child next week following the presentation. Open house for registration will be May 22 between 4-7pm at Maple School. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to Alexis Barrett, Willowbrook and Wescott Orchestra director, with any questions. abarrett@distirct30.org
New Parking Signs in the Front Parking Lot
Based on our recently conducted traffic study, this morning we installed recommended signage in our front parking lot. When picking up children from school please follow the traffic line - east on Farnsworth, south on Western and into the pickup line. This will make it faster, and most importantly more safe, for everyone.
