Message From Onondaga Road School Principal
Dear Onondaga Road Families,
First and foremost, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for all of the wonderful staff here at Onondaga Road. The way this team works together to ensure that each and every child is cared for and supported is heart-warming. I know that our community feels the same and was so impressed by the outpouring of support for our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. Each day this week our teachers were able to have a reminder of how special they are and how much their hard work is appreciated. Thank you to our PTA and all of the volunteers who helped make this week special for us!
The Grade 3 & 4 concert was such a wonderful occasion. I don't know if I enjoyed watching the students performing more or the watching the faces of all of the proud grown-ups in the audience. Mrs. Guifre, Mr. Reardon, and Mr. Stachnik do an amazing job getting students ready for the performance. There is so much that goes into this behind the scenes. From selecting music, teaching students to read music, setting up chairs and even repairing instruments, they do it all.
Our hallways are getting filled with great projects and I know students are excited to showcase their learning during our upcoming Spring Open House. We look forward to having families in the building and letting students have a chance to share their all of their hard work.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Respectfully,
Michelle Collier

PTA News
The PTA has had a great year and is getting ready for end of the year events including the Olympics, End of the Year Picnic and special events planned for the graduating fourth graders! Please consider volunteering for these events by signing up via the Onondaga Road Elementary School PTA page on Facebook once sign ups are posted. More information about the PTA’s End of the Year Picnic will be coming home in May, and in keeping with years’ past this is the only PTA event that charges admission of $2 per person, with a maximum of $10 per family.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Gertrude Hawk fundraiser, which raised just over $10,000 towards next year’s PTA budget.
