Sharing The Learning
Dear Wasco Families,
Our teacher’s work every day is nurturing young minds but I’d also like to highlight an important aspect of our educational philosophy: the power of students learning from one another.
Last week our 5th graders in 5C read with the Kindergarteners in KM for Read Across America week. This was a special occurrence, but every day in our classrooms students collaborate and share work examples and ideas. Peer learning not only enhances academic understanding but also fosters social and emotional growth.
I encourage you to engage in conversations with your child about the value of learning from their peers. Encourage them to share their knowledge and skills with classmates and to be open to learning from others in return. Together, we can create a vibrant learning community where every student thrives.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Kind Regards,
Principal Brennan

Community News / Resources
Wasco will have a box in the office!
The District 303 Board has approved boundary maps for elementary, middle, and high schools. Maps are effective with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall. The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback. Please see the parent notice from Superintendent Gordon to learn more and review the approved maps.
Early Release
One Wednesday per month, students will have an early release and dismissal will occur at 2:10pm. Please refer to the district website.
