Celebrations
- Thank you for bringing in your delicious treats for our Summer Birthday Celebrations on Friday!
- Thank you for the great start to MAP assessments today!
- Thank you to Melanie for offering to lock up/plug in the computers at the end of each day, and thank you to Lori for offering to lock up/plug in the iPads at the end of each day! This is incredibly helpful to us all!
Important Reminders
- Could all teachers please walk your students through their safety evacuation route this week. Your primary evacuation routes are marked on the map by your door. Each class will line up in the back row of the parking lot. Grade 7-8 will start on the left and move down to Pre-K4 on the right hand side. Our first fire drill will take place later in September so it's important that students are prepared.
- Desiree Corbin will be observing Angela's class tomorrow (Tuesday) from 9-11:00 a.m.
- Please submit your sub folders to Paige by this Thursday.
- Please feel free to email Jen with any questions or requests throughout the week! She will get back to you as soon as she can.
- All resource files to be added to your teacher Shutterfly webpages such as the DPS Volunteer Form, After-School Program/Care Information and Registration Form, School Calendar, Events Calendar, Authorization for Dispensing Medication Form, YAGs, as well as Passion Project and Council information are available to upload from our CTL Team Google Drive file.
- Approved Volunteer lists and Sub lists, student Allergy List, student behavior forms, YAG's, Expense Request Forms, etc. are all now available in our CTL Team Google Drive folder.
- Feel free to close your classroom door if you are finding it too noisy!
- After-School Program procedures Monday-Thursday: Please escort your students to the appropriate classroom/s by 3:15 p.m. Students are to line up outside the classroom until their instructor is ready for them to enter the room. All After-Care students are to be taken to the library. All students will be dismissed from the library at 4:15 p.m.
- Please try to clean up your rooms/shared spaces on Tuesdays and Thursdays when we don't have our cleaners.
- Linda is coordinating the purchase of all cleaning products and paper goods so please touch base with her if you notice a need. Thank you Linda!
- Teacher Insurance Options: AAE, CEAI and possibly TCTA. Please let us know if you find another option!
- Please take advantage of our parent volunteers on Wednesdays. Each teacher has a basket in the library to place laminating and copying tasks for the week ahead.
- Please remember to have students clear the trash from their lunch tables and to close the gate when they enter/exit the lunch/playground area.
- Please have your trash bags ready for collection outside your classroom doors by 2:45 p.m. Thanks for the valet trash service 5-8 grade!
- Enrichment teachers will create their Shutterfly pages by Tuesday, September 27.
- Please see Linda to receive/sign-out your building keys and to submit your alarm code.
- Your PLC meetings will start with Linda this Tuesday or Thursday.

CTL Mission
CTL’s primary mission is to foster a love of learning by teaching students to follow their curiosity, to think creatively, and to work both independently and collaboratively. We celebrate diversity and instill integrity, compassion, and confidence in each student. We work in tandem with parents, families, and community members to ensure that each child receives the tools and nurturing needed to become his or her own unique self. CTL provides an intimate, personalized environment tailored to each student’s needs.
