MILAB Fabrication and Innovation update.
MiLAB Newsletter Spring 2024
Students from the elementary school partipated in two Future Ready events where businesses from the community came to the high school and then the Burkland school. The community members engaged students in learning about the many jobs that take place within a variety of industries. There have been many positive responses from these events and we are confident it will help students gain an innovative mindset as they continue on in their educational career in Middleborough.
Futures students, along with MiLAB interns, continued their community work on variety of projects. A large door repair took place at Pratt Farm in collaboration with the Conservation Department, a new book box was built and installed at the Field of Dreams sponsered by the Rotary Club, and a large adirondack chair was completed and installed outside the quad. The chair project was sponsored by the class of 1973 who had their 50th reuinion this year. Again, we are grateful for all the collaborative efforts of students and community members and are confident these experiences will last in the memories of all partipants for years to come as they have helped enhance our community. I would also like to recognize the seniors that worked with me over the course of the year. This group was super hardworking and always willing to take on any challange. Best of luck to you all, I know you will be leaders in whatever you do and you will keep on innovating! Thank you.
